How far apart can our Pings be?

Ping connects directly by radio for nearby use. Target range is 30–50 m indoors and 100–200 m outdoors with clear line of sight. Walls, building materials and interference affect range. It does not send signals between cities over the internet.

Do I need an app or subscription?

No. Ping connects directly between devices, without an app, account, Wi-Fi or subscription.

What happens when I press?

Your light turns green while you press; the other Ping lights amber. Release, and both lights turn off. Each Ping is designed to send and receive. There’s no sound or vibration, and you decide together what your signal means.

What battery does Ping use?

Each Ping uses one replaceable CR2032 coin cell, purchased separately. Target battery life is about six months, depending on use.

How can I get a pair?

The Ping Pair is $39 on Kickstarter. Visit the campaign to choose a reward and check shipping destinations and delivery estimates. Shipping is collected separately after the campaign; applicable taxes or import charges are additional.

What stage is Ping at?

Ping is currently in development. Production and delivery are planned through our Kickstarter campaign, where we’ll share progress and estimated shipping dates.
